Encourage Confidence & Perseverence
Computer science skills are becoming increasingly important, yet women remain significantly underrepresented in this field. Social bias (often unconscious) limits women’s advancement in technology, especially since girls’ achievements in the field are shaped by the environment around them.
It is important that girls be in an environment that fosters the development of confidence in their abilities from a young age. We hope to show students that computer science can be fun, rewarding, and even social.
In our CuSCode Projects, we mainly focus on three areas.
1. Research.
2. Web Design and Development.
3. Teaching.
Being Tech savvy is now imperative. Our projects strive to bring awareness to an arising global consciousness.
Our very first project was a teaching project, CusCode. It was done as part of achieving a girl scout silver award. Elementary and middle school students were taught the basics of coding using scratch and code.org . Please visit https://cuscode.weebly.com/ for more information.
We have worked on a few research projects as well: Sublimity Project, Covid-19 AI & ML Research Project, Streaming Services Choice Research Project,Diffuse map project are some of the research projects we worked on.
We are currently working on developing web sites for Micro Businesses that are impacted due to the pandemic.
